I agree with your premises, but reject your conclusion. These conglomerates, whilst having started with humble means, are now very much "evil". They have humungous advertising budgets and can develop wherever they wish because of their capital. This means they can capture a market, not through superior product, but simply by renown. Starbucks is a case in point. And while you say this is good for this company, growing from its simple beginning, it denies other companies that opportunity by quashing any chances it had to succeed.
Starbucks, too, is a prime example of a greed-run enterprise gone wrong. Last year they were forced to close more than 60% of their stores in Australia due to overexpansion, leaving the employees jobless. Consider a series of smaller coffee shops here. This would be a very different situation.
Now such businesses are run by money-hungry CEOs who have caused the currentt financial situation, leaving even more people without jobs through their mismanagement of money.
You have stated that large businesses put more money back into the economy through their higher tax rates. However, in general these companies pay their employees less (McDonalds, for example), whereas smaller companies often pay their employees more, putting more money back into the economy directly through consumer spending by their employees.
Just a thought.

Scott: First off, thanks for being mature about this (I have gotten a lot of comments from annoying immature people who would befriend Osama Bin Laden before a corporate executive)
Second off, I am now thinking that many corporations aren't 'evil', while many are. Its crazy to say that everyone who owns a corporation is evil. I guess I didn't correctly say that corporations put more money back into the economy through higher tax rates in the way that a lot of that money goes to a certain state. For example, when you buy something at Wal-Mart, part of that money goes to the government, and the state of arkansas. When you buy something at Target, part of that money goes to the government and the state of minnesota. Although many corporations may not pay their salespeople as much, they do put a significant amount of money back into the economy.

Good report...as for the 'experts'...they all have their version of the story and we always make scientific mistakes. I love how on TV they avoid some of the real mysteries when trying to explain happenings so as to ultimately reward themselves...everyone wants to make a discovery, as i turns out we don't discover something that is already there. As a spiritualist...I assure you...time travel is very possible and all mysteries have been 'solved' by these 'secret society' travelers...you don't hear about them because we don't go around exposing sacred things in exchange for fame...sometimes you just have to respect things. Science always looks in the wrong direction...when will they ever learn.

and in most of the 'how to's you tell how to do the trick if you skate regular, but looking at the ollie and casper pictures they are shown from a goofy skater which could be really confusing to someone who trys to look both at the words and pictures to help them learn how to skate..

it would probably be helpful when trying to ollie if you didnt step down as hard as you possibly can with your left foot, considering that your left foot would be in the middle of the board (assuming that all the other directions were followed correctly) and "stepping down" too hard in the middle of the boardd could possibly break the board.....

Scott are you gone. You have not posted in more than a month.
Scott: Well I am kind of gone. I'm somewhat out of ideas to post and this is the busiest time of year for me. As soon as school gets out, this blog will be more active. Please don't delete me from your blogroll otherwise I'll have to do the same to you.
